Bone scintigraphy was performed in a 16-year-old male football player who had a 2-month history of left inguinal pain to identify possible osteitis pubis. The blood-pool image on bone scintigraphy revealed a focal area of increased activity in the left hemiscrotal region, extending proximally to the area of the left iliac vessels. Testicular ultrasonography confirmed the presence of a left testicular varicocele.
