High resolution Raman spectra of hot bands associated with ν2 in 13C2D2

The Raman spectra of the Q branches of the hot bands associated with the nu(2) stretching fundamental of (C2D2)-C-13 (nu(2) + nu(4)-nu(4), nu(2) + nu(5)-nu(5), nu(2) + 2nu(4)-2nu(4), nu(2) + 2nu(5)-2nu(5), nu(2) + nu(4) + nu5-(nu(4) + nu5)) have been recorded using inverse Raman spectroscopy with an instrumental resolution of about 3 x 10(-3) cm(-1). A simultaneous analysis of all the assigned transitions has been performed on the basis of a theoretical model which takes into account the rotational and vibrational l-type resonances within each vibrational manifold and the Darling-Dennison anharmonic resonance between the nu(2) + 2nu(4) and nu(2) + 2nu(5) states. The determined parameters reproduce the assigned wavenumbers with a standard deviation of the same order of magnitude as the experimental uncertainty. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science (USA).
