摘要：

The paper presents a research in sugar beet production on the 35 ha sown area on a family farm in the area of Osijek-Baranja County in Croatia. Using the farm internal data, analytical calculation is made and absolute and relative production success indicators are calculated. The total costs amounted to 12,215.00 HRK ha(-1); the most significant part of the costs is spent on plant protection products, whose share in the total cost structure is as much as 24%. The yield of sugar beet root is 60 t ha(-1). The cost-effectiveness coefficient is 1.33, the rate of profitability is 32.62%, and the profit with the existing sugar content of 14.8-16.35% amounts to 139,475.00 HRK.
