Observation of fast O2(a1Δ) quenching in the O/O2/O3 system

摘要
in the present study we have observed rapid quenching of O-2(a(1)Delta) in O(P-3)/O-2/O-3 mixtures. Oxygen atoms and singlet oxygen molecules were produced by the 248 nm laser photolysis of ozone. The kinetics of O-2(a(1)Delta) quenching were followed by observing the 1268 nm fluorescence of the O-2 a(1)Delta-X3 Sigma transition. The temporal profiles of oxygen atoms O(P-3) were monitored by means of the O+NO chemiluminescent reaction. The mechanisms of fast O-2(a(1)Delta) quenching in the presence of O atoms are discussed.
