We characterize the Bloch space and the Besov spaces of harmonic functions on the open unit disc D by using the following oscillation: [GRAPHICS] where alpha + beta = n, alpha,beta is an element of R (D) over cap ((n) = partial derivative(n)/partial derivative(n)(z) over bar).
