Top quark mass measurement and related physics with the ATLAS detector at LHC

摘要
Several methods for the determination of the mass of the top quark with the ATLAS detector at the LHC are presented. All the decay channels of the top quark are explored. The measurements, which are in most of the cases dominated by systematic uncertainties, show that a total error on the top mass at the level of 1-2 GeV can be achieved. The effect of spin correlations was studied in the case of top-antotop pair production with two leptons in final state. The spin correlations could be observed at the LHC and can be sensitive to new physics beyond the Standard Model. The presentation is based on internal ATLAS publications [1-2].
