Investigation of the Self-Starting Process of a Low-Power Asynchronous Motor

The Purpose is to study the self-starting of asynchronous motors for their auxiliary of power plants and substations, as well as the mutual influence of engines on each other, with short-term voltage dips and again restoring the voltage on the tires that are connected to these motors. The object of research was the current section VIII with a capacity of 0.4 kV of the system for its auxiliary with 9 asynchronous motors of the heat and power plant No. 1 in Dushanbe (Republic of Tajikistan). Simulation modeling was carried out in the ETAP software package (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program, OTI company, USA), using algebraic and simplified differential equations to determine the values of static and dynamic stability indicators for the auxiliary of power plants and substations. The developed method for studying the self-starting of asynchronous motors for the own needs of power plants and substations makes it possible to more accurately determine the values of static stability voltages and dynamic stability time. Based on the results obtained, the boundaries of static and dynamic stability of the auxiliary of power plants and substations are constructed, and the implementation of the optimal self-start conditions is determined, which allows for the smooth operation of responsible mechanisms with asynchronous motors in case of voltage dips. The developed simulation model makes it possible to clarify and determine the success of self-starting an asynchronous motor in the systems of auxiliary of power plants and substations.
