摘要
Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is one of the most common cardiac genetic disorders. Cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) has the advantage over echocardiography in the imaging of lateral and apical regions of the myocardium and is the major advantage of the technique. Using CMR, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is diagnosed using the same parameters as echocardiography namely: heterogeneous myocardial hypertrophy over 13 mm in men (excluding highly trained athletes) and 12 mm in women measured in the end diastolic phase. CMR after contrast injection could also shown fibrosis as hyper-enhanced areas within the LV myocardium.
