Mathematical models have grown up into an indisputable planning tool in the majority of cc works. A new generation of them is characterized by considerable progress in practical relevance, reliability and efficiency Some aspects of the new modelling standard are discussed by a computer model for slab casting in time-dependent operation, An analysis method for the temporal change of costing stresses allows reliable process optimization far this case.
