摘要:
Because of its high efficiency (about 96 percent) the class E tuned power amplifier has found applications in dc-to-ac inverters and dc-to-dc converters, and also frequency multipliers. The most basic configuration of a class E amplifier consists of a transistor operating as a switch connected to a load network which, in turn, contains a capacitor parallel to the switch and a series RLC output circuit. As the switch changes state the response of the load network is varied. Previous analytical solutions are based on a de-powered class E tuned power amplifier. This paper presents a mathematical approach towards generating an analytical solution for an ac-powered class E power amplifier. The equations that determine the circuit operation are derived using Laplace transforms, Fourier analysis and a high Q assumption.
