摘要
Corn syrup and glycerine are proposed as suitable breast-phantom materials. These materials when diluted with water in definite proportions can serve as phantoms for normal, benign, and malign breast-tissue samples. Dielectric permittivity, and conductivity studies of these materials are performed using the cavity-perturbation technique in the frequency range of 2.4-3.2 GHz. The results are compared with the in vitro breast-tissue data and good agreement is reported. These materials are also useful as coupling media in microwave medical imaging.
