摘要
This Paper shows the result of a Technical Project of a floating desalination plant of sea water with a production of fresh water of 5.000 m(3)/day that works using the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment system with the utilization as power source of the electrical energy one Ocean Thermal Energy Converter (OTEC) plant that is displayed into the same vessel and with electrical generation capacity of 4 MW. This floating plant will be operated into Pacific Ocean locations with enough depth to get one oceanic thermal gradient of 24 degrees. The plant can be transported on float by a tug vessel to different places and during its operation is fixed to the sea bed by its mooring system and keeping the long cold water pipe in the right position on the sea.
