摘要：
A number of years ago, a young colleague asked me for advice on reviewing papers for technical journals. I replied with a letter laying out my accumulated wisdom on the subject and sent it off. In the years since, she has become an outstanding reviewer, and I naturally have attributed this to the letter I wrote her. Even so, I dusted the letter off recently to see if I have changed my mind in any important ways. © 2010 IEEE.
