(Fe,Co)-Zr-Nd-B bulk amorphous alloys with good soft magnetic properties

摘要
Fe-based amorphous alloys containing rare earth elements have appeared to be a new type of ferromagnetic materials with unique magnetic properties. In this paper, the glass-forming ability, thermal stability and magnetic properties were investigated for Fe67-xCo7Zr6Nd3B20 (x = 0-5 at%) amorphous alloys. Among these alloys, the supercooled liquid region of Fe64Co7Zr6Nd3B20 amorphous alloy reached maximum value of 67 K. The saturation magnetization (J(s)) and coercive force (H-c) were in the range of 1.05-1.38 T and of 1.16-7.62 A/m, respectively. The Fe64Co7Zr6Nd3B20 bulk amorphous alloys in the shape of rod with diameter of 1 mm were obtained successfully by the means of copper mould injection casting, which exhibited good soft magnetic properties of 1.38 T for J(s) and 4.26 A/m for coercive force H-c.
