摘要
Tests with the alternative fuels GTL and Kerosene were carried out and compared with the results of the tests with Diesel fuel. A modern EURO IV engine was used at the test bench to determine the potential for the lowering of the emissions. The engine was thereby operated in selected operating points and from the results of these measurements an emission computer forecast for the MVEG-operating cycle was accomplished. The tests at partial load showed that with both fuels both the NO, emissions and the particulate emissions could be lowered. The sinking potential was higher with GTL - further more, the HC and CO emissions were lowered, while when using Kerosene a rise of these emissions was determined. With regard to the use of a particulate filter, the NOx emission with GTL in the MVEG-operating cycle, compared with Diesel, was lowered around 50% with tuning to equal particulate emissions. In contrast to Kerosene, GTL offers a clear sinking potential of the particulate emission also at the full load. Because of the low smoke numbers in the lower speed range, at full load, GTL thereby offers the possibility of the rise of the torque, particularly in this speed range.
