摘要
In this paper we consider the problem of wireless communications in frequency selective multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels. Our approach is to combine the attractive features of frequency-domain equalization (FDE) with a space-layered algorithm, which is referred to as layered space-frequency equalization (LSFE). In the LSFE architecture, at each stage of detection, a group of selected data streams are detected by using FDE, and are then cancelled from the received signals. This LSFE structure is also applied to the MIMO system with space-time block code (STBC). It is shown that the multistage LSFE significantly outperforms the previous single-stage structure, and all the LSFE structures provide better performance than their OFDM counterparts.
