摘要
Electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT) is a pump-probe effect that modifies the absorption and refractive index of a medium. EIT results from the quantum interference in a three-level atomic or molecular system, leading to rendering an optically thick medium transparent to the probe field over a narrow spectral region within an absorption line. The high degree of transparency is accompanied by steep dispersion. Thus light can be slowed down and even stopped. EIT has been studied in atoms, molecules and solids for many years. Because of its unique features, EIT have found a lot of important applications and new interesting applications of EIT continue to appear regularly. In this review paper, the recent advances in the fields of EIT in molecules are presented.
