摘要
We demonstrate 40 Gbit/s RZ signal transmission over 240 km conventional single mode fiber by utilizing a time-division alternating polarization format, and a dispersion compensation fiber, a polarization independent receiver without an additional polarizer. Alternating polarization format is compared to single polarization format in 200 lan SMF transmission.
