摘要
The powder of Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O-2 was prepared directly without artificial grinding by a eutectic molten-salt mixture(0.24LiCO(3)-0.76LiOH with a melting point of 423 degrees C) method, where the ratio of Li/(Ni+Co+Mn) in the raw materials of Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3(OH)(2) and eutectic molten salt was controlled at 1:1. According to this method, the eutectic molten-salt mixture was self-mixed with precursor, and then sintered at a certain temperature. The tap-density of the powder obtained was 2.89 g.cm(-3). The well-layered alpha-NaFeO(2)structure and regular morphology were confirmed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Cathodic behaviour was examined by charge-discharge cycling, The synthesized powder showed initial charge-discharge capacity of 176 mAh.g(-1) and 166 mAh.g(-1) up to 50 cycles with no noticeable capacity-fading.
