摘要
In a world deeply influenced by science and technology, it is necessary to equip individuals with the knowledge, skills and values to make informed decisions and take responsible actions, concerning socio-scientific issues. Citizens should be prepared to participate in the different phases of research and innovation, in order to ensure a better alignment between the products and processes of science, and the needs, values and expectations of society. Science education should assist in the achievement of these goals, and teachers are key players in this endeavor. Based on this background we present the design and validation of a teacher-training program aimed at supporting teacher to promote responsible research and innovation through science education.
