摘要
The paper presents the numerical analysis of torsional vibrations on an example of asynchronous electric motor coupled together with reciprocating compressor using elastic couplings. The original aim of developed computer program was to analyze startup transients of an diesel engine coupled with a heat pump compressor in a cogeneration unit. In the presented example the program was used for detailed analysis which has indicated causes of repeated shaft breaks, which had caused serious damages in a hydrodesulphurization plant of an oil rafinery. The analysis was applied to find the acceptable solution for the elastic coupling design. The paper indicates recommendations in performing torsional vibrations analysis on such compressor drives.
