Optical absorption spectra and Judd-Ofelt analysis of Nd3+ in certain chloroborate glasses

摘要
Optical absorption bands have been measured and assigned to transitions between the energy levels of Nd3+. From the optical absorption measurements and using Judd-Ofelt theory, intensity parameters (Omega(2), Omega(4), Omega(6)) have been calculated. The agreement is good between the theoretical and experimental spectral intensities. The radiative transition probabilities (A), radiative lifetimes (T-R), branching ratios (beta) and integrated absorption cross-sections (Sigma) have also been theoretically estimated and reported for certain fluorescent levels.
