摘要
Aristotle wrote the Rhetoric alongside the Politics to help save Athenian democracy from demagoguery. Similarly, two thousand years later, Harold Lasswell, alongside political science (political science), which answers the questions of "who gets what, when and how", put communication science (communicationology), which answers the questions of "who says what, through which channel, to whom and with what effect", to once again defend democracy against demagoguery. Today we face a similar challenge. The pluralization of media production and the personalization of media consumption threaten the sustainability of the community called polis, the political community in which and about which we can communicate because it is common and shared (lat. communis -> communicatio).
