摘要
Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease are chronic, immunomediated diseases that affect the digestive tract, alternating periods of inactivity with periods of crisis, where patients present clinical manifestations such as diarrhea and abdominal pain. The complexity of the crisis will depend on the type, extent, and severity of the disease. Endoscopic studies have an essential role for diagnosis and follow-up, multiple endoscopic indexes guide us to evaluate the extent and severity of the disease allowing the adjustment of treatment according to the findings. In this review, we describe the most frequent clinical, laboratory and endoscopic findings in inflammatory bowel disease.
