摘要
There are few long-term histological studies of changes that occur after the treatment of chronic venous disease with cyanoacrylate. In the present study, a histological examination was performed in a 71-year-old man 2 years after he was treated with a VenaSeal (TM) system. After 2 years, most endothelial cells were destroyed; however, most of the media layer was viable. Moreover, we identified multinucleated giant cells distributed throughout the media layer but found no adventitial infiltration.
