摘要
Decomposition of ozone at room and higher temperatures (up to 80 degrees C) on PdO-CeO2/ZSM-5 catalyst is investigated. The samples were characterized by XRD, AAA, SEM, BET, IR and XPS methods. The analysis showed that palladium and cerium are loaded as PdO and CeO2 on the outer surface of the zeolite. The catalytic activity is about 92% conversion at room temperature at the beginning of ozone decomposition reaction. Slight deactivation is observed (down to 69% conversion for 180 min), followed by almost full reactivation after 24 h break for every new catalytic reaction cycle. At 48 degrees C a 100% conversion is observed. As the catalyst is highly active for ozone decomposition at ambient conditions it can be suitable for practical applications.
