摘要
This paper presents a study carried out to analyze the effects of various substrate thicknesses on the active scan impedance of phased array quasi-Yagi antenna elements. This array is designed with 0.65 lambda inter-element spacing on RT6006 epsilon(r)=6.15 of thickness 25mils, 20mils and 15mils respectively. It is observed that the active scan VSWR for all the cases remain within VSWR<2 for all scan angles in H-Plane. Whereas, in case of E-Plane scan, active scan return loss is observed to be affected to the order of -2dB for extreme scan angles. The degradation is within acceptable limits for lower thickness substrates and active scan VSWR is within VSWR<2 for 15mils thickness case in both E-plane and H-Plane scanning.
