摘要
Lead magnesium niobate (PMN) has been synthesized from single step chemical synthesis from niobium tartarate, lead-TEA complex, and magnesium-PVA complex solution. After complete evaporation of the solution, complexes are decomposed and produced a black fluffy precursor material. The precursor on calcination at 1000 degrees C/1 h produced a purr perovskite PMN phase and the corresponding average particle size was 200 nm. The PMN sample sintered at 1200 degrees C for 2 h, is single phasic(> 98%). The material shows high bulk density (7.3g/cm(3)) and high dielectric value (epsilon(max) = 16,600 at 1 kHz) after sintering. The variation of dielectric shows a broad diffuse phase transition with diffusivity (gamma) and Gaussian diffuseness (delta(g)) value 1.5-1.6 and 0.91-1, respectively. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
