摘要
Medical family therapy refers to the systemic, biopsychosocial treatment of individuals and families who are experiencing medical problems. Because marriage and family therapists are trained to conceptualize and treat problems from a systemic perspective, marriage and family therapists are well-suited to become medical family therapists. The purpose of this article is to describe seven internship experiences that emphasize training in medical family therapy and are available for doctoral-level marriage and family therapy students. Authors provide a description of the medical settings, interactions with other health professionals, supervision experiences, and educational opportunities. Recommended resources also are provided.
