摘要：

The Soho Foundry is a key element in the history of the industrial revolution. It was created in 1796 by Matthew Boulton and lames Watt to build steam engines. The development of manufacturing on the site mirrors the development of invention, from steam to electronics and computer technology. The Soho Foundry was purchased in 1896 by W & T Avery (now Avery Berkel) for their scale-making business and thus celebrates a double anniversary in 1996.
