International collaboration research on the effects of a new theory of plasma X-ray diagnostics using semiconductor X-ray detectors

摘要
Under the international fusion cooperative research programs between Japan, Germany, and the United States, semiconductor X-ray detectors in the GAMMA 10 tandem mirror, as well as the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak and the DIII-D tokamak, are precisely characterized using intense synchrotron radiation at the Photon Factory gor plasma X-ray diagnostics. The energy responses of new semiconductor detectors in the ASDEX Upgrade tokamak and the DIII-D tokamak and our new aluminum-coated X-ray semiconductor detector are characterized. These energy response data and our recently proposed theoretical predictions for such semiconductor X-ray-detector responses are in good agreement. The X-ray response for several positions on the active area of the detector unit and the channel variations in the output signals for the detector array are studied, These data give fundamental bases for plasma X-ray tomography diagnostics.
