摘要
Power system splitting is to split the interconnected power grid into several islands in order to ensure the continuity of power service when islanding operation is inevitable. As a centralized control, splitting is a comprehensive decision problem that includes different subproblems such as system stability estimation, splitting point selection, and even determinations of switch operation time and sequence. Although recent studies have achieved great progresses in respective fields, some issues are seldom discussed, for instance, the interrelationship among the subproblems in system islanding. For a thorough inspection, a research platform that integrates all necessary modules that aim at different subproblems is introduced in this paper. While simulating the entire procedure of system islanding, the platform tries to keep good compatibility to various approaches that deal with different subproblems. So that, the platform can afford a virtual environment for further studies. Simulation results on IEEE 68- and 162-bus systems that are carried out on this platform show the importance and necessity of handling splitting as a systematical problem, and some common senses in usual cases are no longer proper in the case of system islanding. Further experiments discover other factors that affect the feasible splitting strategy very much.
