The practice of extensive and systematic use of off-label administration of nasal naloxone has been going on for years. Stake-holders should have facilitated development of sustainable non-injectables having consideration for the four basic principles of medical ethics: beneficence, maleficence, justice and autonomy, as well as medication and medicolegal costs.
