Comparison of City Flow Intensity of Pearl River Delta Urban Agglomeration

摘要
City flow intensity embodies degree of function connection of urban agglomeration. This paper provides evidences for adjusting industrial structure and optimizing industrial layout through comparing city flow intensity of nine cities in Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, in order to develop industrial assemble effects of urban agglomeration. The results show nine cities can be divided into two classes by the value of city flow intensity. City with high value of city flow intensity includes Guangzhou and Shenzhen city, one is the core of service trade, and the other has healthy manufacturing bases, which are core of Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration except hongkong-macau. There are seven others which belong to city with low value of city flow intensity.
