Spectra of intensity fluctuations in output radiation of an incoherently bumped multimode three-level laser

摘要：

The spectrum of fluctuations in the number of photons at the output of an incoherently pumped multimode three-level laser is analyzed. Conditions when the total (in all the modes) output laser radiation field resides in a nonclassical (squeezed in the number of photons) state are determined. The possibility of generating the light squeezed in the number of photons in separate field modes is demonstrated. Phase and frequency locking of the fields in separate laser modes is a necessary condition for the manifestation of nonclassical noise properties of light. The cases of a regular and fluctuating pump are considered.
