摘要
in this paper, a CPW-fed (coplanar waveguide) compact ultra wide-band (UWB) cup-antenna is designed to operate from 3 GHz to 12 GHz with good matching. The antenna is a semi-elliptical patch and the partial CPW ground is used with two triangular to enhancement the bandwidth. Quad-elements from this presented antenna are used to form a MIMO (Multi-Input Multi-Output) system for modern wireless communications. A MIMO arrangement is designed in a square FR-4 substrate with length 55 mm. There is proper isolation among the elements where the isolation coefficient is less than -20 dB. These antennas are designed by two basically different techniques. These are HFSS (TM) from Ansoft and CST STUDIO SUITE (TM) 2018. The two software packages are basically different; therefore the second has been confirmed the results determined using the first. Good agreement is obtained.
