摘要：

Nature 404, 837–840 (2000). In this Article the bold paragraph incorrectly stated that thermal transport had been investigated over the range 106 ⩽ Ra ⩽ 10 7. It should have read ‘Here we investigate thermal transport over eleven orders of magnitude of the Rayleigh number (106 ⩽ Ra ⩽ 1017)’.
