Two mixed-ligand coordination polymers: inhibitory effect on renal carcinoma through reducing cancer cells proliferation

摘要
Two new Cu(II)-bearing coordination polymers (CPs) with the chemical formulae of [Cu-2(L)(2)(1,4-NDC)(2)(H2O)]center dot 8.5H(2)O}(n) (1) and {[Cu(L)(TBTA)(H2O)(2)]center dot H2O}(n) (2) (L = 1,4-bis(5,6-dimethylbenzimidazol-1-yl)-2-butylene; 1,4-H2NDC = 1,4-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid; H(2)TBTA = tetrabromoterephthalate) have been successfully prepared under the solvothermal reaction conditions. The structural analysis results show that CP 1 features a 3D framework structure with a 4-connected dia net, and CP 2 reveals a 2D layered network with uninodal 4-connected sql topology. For the treatment of renal carcinoma, their treatment activity on the renal carcinoma was evaluated, followed by the mechanism exploration. Firstly, the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) detection kit was used to determine the proliferation of the cancer cells after compound treatment. Next, the activation levels of the JAK-STAT (The Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of tran-ions) signaling pathway in the cancer cells were measured with real time Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) assay.
