摘要
Based on the well-known von Karman plate theory, axisymmetric postbuckling and bending behavior of circular plates are investigated under thermal loading. The temperature dependence of thermal and elastic properties of material is considered in this study. It is assumed that temperature varies in the direction of thickness of the plate only. As examples, clamped and simply supported circular plates are studied, respectively. Shooting method is employed to numerically solve the resulting differential equations. Effects of temperature-dependent-material property, temperature gradient and boundary conditions on postbuckling and bending behavior of the plates are discussed.
