摘要
In the present study, some new Schiff bases of 2,5-disubstituted-1,3,4-thiadiazole were synthesized. The chemical structures were confirmed by IR, H-1 NMR and elemental analysis. All the new compounds were tested in vivo for their analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities. Among them in particular compound 5-(2-Mercaptopheny1)-2-{N-(4-methoxybenzylidene)-4-aminopheny1}-1,3,4-thiadiazole (7f) was found to have a superior analgesic and anti-inflammatory profile with low gastric ulceration incidence.
