Fabricating TIC particulate reinforced Fe-Cr-Ni matrix composites by a liquid state in-situ synthesis

摘要
The preparation, the microstructure feature and the high temperature mechanical properties of TiC particulate reinforced Fe-26Cr-14Ni matrix composites by a liquid state in-situ synthesis are presented. Cast TiC particulate reinforced Fe-26Cr-14Ni matrix composites can be fabricated by liquid in-situ processing. Spherical or polyhedral TiC particulate with the size of 0.5-3 μm is uniformly dispersed in austenite matrix. The interface between TiC and austenite in the composite is a coherent interface with the orientation relationship of (02̄0)γ∥(22̄0)TiC, [001]γ∥[001]TiC. The high temperature tensile properties of the composites containing 5 and 10 vol.% TiC are raised in comparing with those of matrix alloy.
