摘要
In the present work, a novel series of platinum(II) complexes of some bioactive thiosemicarbazones derived from 4-aminoantipyrine, viz., 4[N-(benzalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (BAAPT-H), 4[N-(2-hydroxybenzalidene) amino]antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (HBAAPT-H), 4[N-(4-dimethylaminobenzalidenc)amino]antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (DABAAPT-H), 4[N-(2'-nitrobenzalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosernicarbazone (2'-NO(2)BAAPT-H), 4[N(3'-nitrobenzalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (3'-NO(2)BAAPT-H), 4[N-(4'-nitrobenzalidene)amino] antipyrine thiosernicarbazone (4'-NO(2)BAAPT-H), 4[N-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosemicarbazone (HMBAAPT-H), 4[N-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosernicarbazone (HNAAPT-H) and 4[N-(cinnamalidene)amino]antipyrine thiosernicarbazone (CAAPT-H), with the general composition Pt(LH)X-2 has been synthesized and characterized through various physico-chemical studies. The infrared and electronic, spectral studies reveal that the ligands behave as N, N, S donors and the diamagnetic complexes have square planar geometries.
