Measurement of densities for binary mixtures N,N-dimethylformamide plus water and N,N-dimethylacetamide plus water using Anton Paar DMA 602 densimeter

摘要
In order to study the molecular interactions in aqueous environments, the densities of binary liquid mixtures N, N-dimethylformamide (DMF) + water and N, N-dimethylacetamide (DMA) + water were measured at 298.15K with an Anton Paar DMA 602 densimeter. The values were converted to excess molar volumes (V-E). The values of V-E were negative for the two binary systems over the entire composition range. And the negative values of V-E for DMA + H2O was larger than those of DMF + H2O. The present results of measurement showed that DMA had stronger molecular interactions with water than DMF.
