摘要
Ad hoc networks are self-organizing and self-configuring networks that do not have fixed infrastructures. Mobile stations in wireless ad hoc networks move around in the network, which requires routing protocol that can handle the change of network topologies dynamically. We propose an Intelligent Wireless Ad hoc Routing (IWAR) protocol that adapts to the network status, and provides load balancing and fault tolerance. The protocol periodically monitors certain parameters and collects data that reflect the network status, and based on "reinforcement learning", an artificial intelligent technique, selects optimal routes and avoids using congested and failed nodes and links in its routing decisions.
