Studies on electrosynthesised ZnCdSe semiconducting thin films

摘要
ZnSe and CdSe, belonging to II-VI semiconducting compounds have interesting and important applications in opio-electronic devices. By alloying these two compound semiconductors, a continuous series of solid solution (ZnCd)Se films can be tailored to the need of the devices in the entire UV-Vis-NIR spectra. In this thesis, films are cathodically deposited onto SnO2 coated glass and titanium substrates. The structure, microstructure, optical behaviour transport behaviour and photoelectrochemical behaviour of electrosynthesized ZnCdSe thin films are studied. Nitrogen ion implantation studies on the electrosynthesized ZnCdSe films were also performed and the results are reported.
