A note on constrained stabilization for nonlinear systems in feedback form

摘要
It is well known that stabilizing controllers can be recursively designed for a large class of nonlinear systems, by the so-called backstepping procedure. In this note it is shown how for a class of systems for which such a procedure applies, one can further guarantee some constraints on the output evolution, by a special choice of Lyapunov functions in the constructive control design. As an illustrative example, a stabilizing controller is proposed for the cart-pole system. Copyright (C) 2001 IFAC.
