摘要：
Various strategies required for the effective use of the systems of publication and patenting are described. The rules and definitions that govern patent protection vary among nations, and without exception, must be explored on a nation-by-nation basis. Best approach is to file early and file often for patent protection, always prior to any form of public disclosure. The value of the inventions can be maximized by coupling the right communication strategy with a sound approach to patenting.
