摘要
Hybrid natural fiber polymer composites are gaining importance day by day because of renewability, sustainability, availability and cost effectiveness of natural fibers. Hybridisation of fibers for different polymer matrix may be done in different manner like combination of one synthetic one natural fiber, combination of two different natural fibers. Combination of different natural fibers in a single polymer matrix are giving improved mechanical properties as compared to single natural fiber reinforcement. This article gives a brief review on the mechanical properties of different combination of different natural fibers in a thermoset or thermoplastic polymer matrix. Improvement in tensile and flexural strength at an optimum combination ratio of natural fibers is reviewed in the study. (c) 2021 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
