The transition of lateral spreading to localization in 3D disordered medium

摘要：

In this paper, we mainly focus on the localization behavior in a three-dimensional disordered medium, which is designed by mixing controllable amounts of random particles to the homogenous medium. The localization and lateral spreading properties are studied in different disorder degrees and disorder depths. Results show that consistent with Anderson localization, the light localization would be formed with the increasing of the disorder degree, while there is a spreading process before the localization. With the increase of disorder depth, similar results can be obtained. The transition from lateral spreading to localization has been explained in detail. (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
