摘要
The objective is to investigate flexural performance of different damage reinforced concrete beams strengthened with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) sheets, including the crack propagation, the relation between load and deflection, strains of the longitudinal bar and CFRP sheets, the ultimate load and the failure mode. The eight RC beams strengthened with CFRP sheets are tested. The main parameters are thickness of CFRP sheets and different damaged conditions of RC beams. The test results show that all strengthened beams have higher flexural stiffness and ultimate capacity as compared to the unstrengthened control beams and different damaged conditions have more influence on the ultimate loads of beams than on the yield loads of beams. Increasing the CFRP sheet layers increase the yield and the ultimate loads of beams. And the preliminary cracks of the damaged RC beams strengthened with CFRP sheets are not restrained effectively in some range of loads.
